Offline files looking for old path

Sat, 2008-03-22 12:13 — superuser

So I've got a machine which is connecting to various shares which are available offline.

One share in particular has now been removed, but the laptops still kick off on every logon that the path is currently unavailable.

Have tried deselecting the folder on startup/idle yet the error still occurs everytime, deleting the offline cache and resynching the other shares still makes no difference.

It turns out there is a reference to this location at:

hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\curre ntversion\netcache\assignedofflinefolders

Simply delete it in there and the error disappears.

Really short but useful howto.

Thanks a whole lot. I just picked up a used computer and changed the user setting in Outlook, when I received that infamous error: 1311. I used your fix in the registry files and it worked!
